St Paul’s United Church in Haenertsburg, Limpopo is an historical building that dates back to 1906. But St Paul’s is not just a building. It is a place of vibrant worship and outreach to the greater community in this part of Limpopo.
Set in beautiful park like surroundings, this small church is a gathering place for people of several denominations. Weekly services are held here for the people of the village of Haenertsburg and the farming community in the Magoebaskloof and George’s Valley areas.
This beautiful church is also the preferred venue for weddings as well. Come and visit us sometime and experience the warmth of our worship and fellowship.
Being a United Church
In a world where division and partisanship are often the order of the day, St Paul’s
United is testimony to the fact that despite doctrinal and ecclesiastical differences
Christians can worship together to the greater glory of God.
As a consequence of the work of such people as Dr Donald Cragg, Revd… and others the
Church Unity Commission came into being in the 1970’s with the intention of finding ways
in which to unite the different churches in Southern Africa. A consequence of this movement
was the establishment of several “united” churches around the country where single,
denominationaly distinct churches were unsustainable. Some of these churches have
grown into significantly large communities while others have served small rural populations.
